I'm back!! So on with the story. At 12:09 am my beautiful 8 lbs 10 oz and 21 inch long baby boy came into the world. There was meconium (his first poop) present when he was born so instead of going right up onto my belly he was rushed over to a Respiratory Therapist and another nurse to have his throat and nose suctioned out. Once they cleared him he was weighed and measured. Soon thereafter Les was able to get his hands on him. Which led to me getting him into my arms.

He is so handsome! He got tired of me taking picture after picture of his adorable little self so he took a nap.
I am so in love with this little guy. I have even told Les that I love Jacob more than I love him. It is not true of course but I do love him very dearly. His sisters do as well. They often tell me that he is so cute. They love to pet his head and just sit there watching him move. They are excited with every little thing he does. Yesterday we took him to his two week doctor visit. On the way there he started to cry. Samantha reached over and put his "pinkie" (her word for binky) into his mouth. Then she started singing, "A Child's Prayer" to him. That was a definite proud mommy moment for me.
His visit went well. He is back up to his birth weight and has gained half an inch. He does have thrush but we now have medication to deal with it. His doctor is very pleased with his development so far. His head circumference and weight are in the 50th percentile. His length is in the 75th percentile.
So that is the news about our little bundle of joy. He has been a lot of work but so worth it. We love him so much. We think he is the most adorable boy that ever has been and ever will be on this planet.
