Our Easter was great! Since we try to keep Sunday about the resurrection of our Savior we did our egg hunt on Saturday. After traveling to Kaysville for a baby shower we came home and had dinner. The first one done with dinner got to start hunting for eggs. To keep it fair we assigned an egg color to each girl. Emma - pink eggs, Khloe - blue eggs, and Samantha - purple eggs. Emma finished dinner first so the easter bunny quickly hid pink eggs for her.
Emma has been using this Elmo Easter basket since her first birthday. She was so excited to find the eggs.
Just as Emma was finishing up her hunt Sammi finished her dinner. So the easter bunny hurried to hide her purple eggs while I got out her bag and got her ready to go out.
Sammi was super excited when she found out there was candy in the eggs.
When Sammi was done Khloe was getting done with her dinner (kinda nice how that worked out huh) and so the easter bunny repeated his work one more time with blue eggs.
I could not get Khloe to be excited about the eggs. She just walked around picking up eggs with a stoic look on her face.
Finally when she picked up her last egg she turned around and had this beautiful smile on her face!
On Easter Sunday I did have the girls help me make cookies. On Monday morning I decorated them and then we delivered them to our neighbors. Our kids love sneeking up to the doors, set the plate of cookies down, and knocking on the door. Mostly though they really like the part where we run.
I feel bad. I thought I had taken a picture of the cookies after they were decorated but I couldn't find them with the other pictures. We had a great Easter! We hope you did as well.
